The City of Tampere will deploy the Urban Strategy predictive digital twin platform of Scenexus as part of the city’s strategic goal to strengthen sustainable, interactive and data-driven smart city development.
The collaboration will result in the first working version of Tampere’s Digital Twin solution (Digital Twin 1.0). In addition, Scenexus will train city experts in the use of the platform and showcase the solution internationally.
The deployment supports the city’s long-term goal of using the digital twin in areas like urban planning, transport and housing solutions, resilience and climate action.
The choice of the solution is based on Scenexus’ unique urban strategy approach, which allows for the interactve simulation and visualization of city-level scenarios and the impacts of decision-making.
The awarded project supports the city’s strategy and the objectives of the Smart City for Residents development program, which emphasize sustainable growth, resident orientation and the use of new technologies in urban development.
The deployment perfectly complements the collaboration of the city with Nvidia and Microsoft. Urban Strategy fully runs on Nvidia hardware and is an integral part of Microsoft’s Azure Market place.
