UK DfT selects Scenexus technology for ultra-fast transport modelling

Highly innovative predictive digital twin platform drastically accelerates national transport planning process.

Scenexus, the world leader in predictive digital twin technology that revolutionizes data driven decision making for governments, will deliver its new SaaS-based  predictive digital twin platform to the UK Department for Transport in a multi-year contract in collaboration with global partner Arup.

Using the Scenexus  platform, DfT will be able to run nationwide transport scenarios in a matter of just minutes, while using the proven 4-step modelling  transportation engineering approach. Previously, this would take DfT more than a working day.

“I’m pleased to be collaborating with Scenexus. Their mission to deliver fast, interactive simulations, including transport models and planning tools—automated end-to-end and built on a flexible user interface—aligns perfectly with our needs. Their track record in this space, along with the large-scale applications they’ve demonstrated, gave us confidence in their capability to deliver an ambitious analytical platform with minimal risk.”.

In a next step, the Department will also use other models that are an integral part of the Scenexus digital twin platform, such as Air Quality, Noise and CO2.

For the delivery of the platform, Scenexus partners with Arup, the global engineering and consultancy company. In addition to Scenexus’ technology, Arup provides in-depth transportation consultancy and program management services.

The revolutionary Scenexus technology is based on the extreme parallelisation of models and high-performance data processing, which allows running models on Nvidia GPU hardware. This acceleraties data processing up to 1,000 times compared to traditional mobility simulation software solutions.
